October 7th, The Fish Day Festival in Tsukiji Fish Market

October 10th is "Fish Day" which is a day to commemorate fish. To celebrate the Fish Day, Tsukiji Fish Market is holding "The Fish Day Festival" on October 7th (Sun). This is a chance to better understand and enjoy seafood by touching, tasting and purchasing the very best our ocean has to offer.

Date: Sunday, October 7
Hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Venue: Tsukiji Fish Market
Directions: 1 minute walk from Tsukijisijo Station by Toei Oedo Line, and 5 minutes walk from Tsukiji Station by Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line

Program: Main Stage

8:45	Musical performance by the marching band from Nihonbashi Junior High School
9:30	Chef Talk Show Moderator: Katsuhiko Ueda (Fisheries Agency) Speakers: Takashi Tamura (Tsukiji Tamura) and Fumio Kondo(Tenpura Kondo)
10:30	Tuna Dissection Exhibition
11:30	Fish cleaning and filleting exhibition
	Takashi Tamura (Tsukiji Tamura)	Fumio Kondo (Tempura Kondo)

- Seafood Stalls
- Stalls of Japanese provinces from north to south (Akita, Miyagi, Chiba, Wakayama, Tottori, Hyogo, Tokushima, Kumamoto etc)
- Fish Pool (You can touch them!)
- Presentation booth of the New Fish Market in Toyosu
