Visit Japan with Tokyo Otaku Mode

Tokyo Otaku Mode, or TOM, is a website created by Japan Tourism Agency and Tokyo Otaku Mode, Inc. as part of the 2013 Visit Japan campaign for all our overseas Otaku friends who just love J-POP and Japanese subculture! Now millions of Otaku worldwide can get information in several different languages on 3 major Otaku themes, including tours, maps, guides, etc., so visitors can decide exactly how they want to plan their visit!

1) Seichi Junrei (pilgrimage to the Holy Land), which introduces fans to places that are the setting for anime and manga whose popularity has extended way beyond Japan's borders;

2) Akihabara, an area of Tokyo known for its electronic, software, and music related shops and now boasts an impressive array of game and Otaku related shops which are easily classified by name (Cosplay, Anime, Manga, for instance);

3) Otaku events - this keeps you up to date on the latest can't-miss Otaku happenings such as Tokyo Game Show and Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair! Also get information on anime-related museums throughout Japan. Don't forget to mark your calendar!
